Hi Gabriel there is no common term first series nth term = 102 + (n-1)8 second series mth term = 108 + (m-1)12=102+6+4(m-1)+8(m-1) =102 +8(m-1) + 6+4(m-1) =mth term in first series + 4m + 2 now for the common term 4m + 2 should be a multiple of 8 this implies 4m + 2 =8a where a belongs to set of natural nos. = m=2a- 1/2= A Fraction & not an integer therefore there is no common term |
