the time period will become root(2) times the time period on the earth i.e 1.414 sec g=GM/R^2 g'(on planet)= G2M/(2R)^2 therefore g' = g/2 therefore since Timeperiod on earth = 2piroot(l/g)=1sec time period on the planet 2piroot(l/g')=2piroot(2l/g)=root(2) * time period on earth |
