the boat is 1 m long and the man is 5.5 m away from the center of the boat .
that means that the man is 5 and 6 meters from the two ends of the boat ...agreed ??
then for the apple to land ond the boat , the max range of projection can be 6 and min range can be 5

so using the formula for range
we get
for trange = 5 the angle can be 15 or 75

and
for range to be 6 the angle can be 18.5 and 71.5

now it cn be easily seen that the max and min angles cn be 75 and 15 respectively

and for angles lying b/w 15 and 18.5 and 71.5 and 75 the apple wud land on the interior part of the boat .

and thus for angles lying b/w 18.5 and 71.5 that is a difference of 53 degrees the apple will not land on the boat
hence the answer
