I am a bit confused, in response to another query on aieee it is stated that 60% marks are likely to secure NIT but in this query it is mentioned as 2000 rank. Normally one will expect a lot of common rank holders (esp in top 2000 of aieee) with iit jee and majority of these would prefer iit. Also the total seats in NITs are considerable so it is likely that NIT admission is possible at quite lower rank (than 2000)
