Local maxima and minima is said to exist at a pt if the value at that pt it is maximum or minimum value in neighbourhood of that pt.where as global maxima or minima is said to exist at a pt if the value at that pt it is maximum or minimum value in a given intervel.Both local and global maxima oor minima have same cond. i.e. F'(x) must be zero at that pt.
