Just remeber that whatsoever the cell may be oxdation always occurs at ANODE thus the other thing i.e. reduction takes place at cathode...........

Now for electrochemical cells just remeber the cod LOAN --- that means Left Oxidation Anode Negative then definitely positive goes to Cathode(ELECTROCHEMICAL).Use this to identify for electrochemical cells and contrary for electrolytic cells........
