Well the answer that you gave in 'SIMPLE ONE' forum is also the another way of writing the question.You generalised the solution there , so as I have done here.Can't you understand..........????..................For any solution of a series involving 'n' you cannot have a perfect answer like 9,1000,875etc.The solution must involve n.For calculations involving A.P,G.P modern science has generalised terms like the common difference,common ratio,sum upto n terms.For example, in school exams we don't derive the general formula for nth term of an A.P,or nPr or nCr .We just put the values given in the question in the formula,understand the problem and get the answer.
