Dear
If the charge is uniformly distributed over the length of the rod and one end of rod is at the center of the cube then minimum flux will pass through only in case the rode is parallel to one of its edge its quite logical to understand this . Imagine the entire rod to be covered inside a cube of length 2l , had this been the case the flux would have been simply q/ 0 since the cube is only covering half of it the answer should be 1/2 (q/ 0 )
This is the power of gauss law .
