ofcourse u can join an insti, nd then simul prepare for JEE... thats nt at all bad but let me tell u, u wont be able to concentrate as gud as u can if u r dropping, dnt think m asking u to drop.. m nt asking u to do that.. but its a fact, with loads of things to study for 1st yr, u wont be able to give ur full to JEE prepeartion, and that will defintely make u lag frm the rest... yeah, first yr's course is somewhat like the 11-12 bt not the exactly, thr's lots of things which will add.. one of my frnds, he has got CS at NIT warangal, he studied thr , till september, bt he also has made his mind to go to IIT, nd in sept he felt like he wasnt able to concentrate on JEE studies, as he should, he took the drop then... he left NIT -warangal... he came back home, nd then prepared for JEE this yr... nd m very sure, he'll get a 2-digit rank...

dropping isnt that bad.. nt at all.. and if that could get u in one of the premier insti of the country, then i'll say its gud...

in a nutshell, i'll suggest, its better to drop than to join cllg, nd continue JEE studies...but yes onething i want to tell u like it happened with me, may be u couldnt get thru JEE next yr..cuz of any unwanted reason, then it will be only u who have to face the world... i wont be clearing JEE this yr, but u knw what this one yr drop has made me learn many things, and i think m much better that what i was last yr... in somewhat ur conditions.... the differnce just lies that i have gt thru AIEEE nt with too gud rank, but still, it was okayish... what i meant to say.. give ur full to whatever u do..be it dropping the yr, or joining cllg....

all this is purely a personal opinion... the final decision is all urs
