Newly out of high school,
I learn of science general.
E may equal emcee squared,
But just how much do I care?

Questions to make me think,
Needing more and more ink,
While they spark interest,
Shall subtract from my rest.

So is physics right?
I need some insight.
For me, my career,
Decisions are near.

Now, the general rule-
Think of graduate school.
But which special subject
Deserves devotion abject?

Try to attain the speed of light
each time you take flight,
you will find, to your dismay,
your hat will flutter away.

Oh Dear Bernoulli, how could you know?
The heights we would soar to using laminar flow.
And Mr. Nobel, imagine what you'd have seen,
funded on the backs of your tri-nitro-toluene.
Can you guess, can you see,
that what we study and measure,
Is oddly put to use and made a great treasure?

But poor Mr. Feynman how did you let go?
Losing your lover while at Alamo.
Mr. Curie and what of your wife?
Destroyed by the study that consumed her life.
We toil and sweat over numerous equations,
Wrecking our homes and destroying the nations.
