All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) - one of the most prestigious Engineering Entrance Examination of India - is the gateway to many of the prestigious central government funded Institutes like NITs , IIIT Gwalior , Deemed Universities etc. The institute is not only for engineering but also admission to many of the prestigious institutes of Architecture, Planning and Pharmacy through AIEEE. This exam is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education, and Department of Secondary & Higher Education, MHRD in compliance with the directives of Government of India.

The placement of a college is always treated as one of the deciding factor while choosing a college, as per Times of India May 1st, edition this year in DCE saw 85 firms visiting for campus recruitment; where the number was 59 in 2007.
The offer made to three DCE students by an international oil services is believed to be of worth Forty five lakhs per annum , placement with such a package of a fresh graduate and the offer being made by non IT Industry or Finance is a point worth noting. According survey made by outlook last year out of top ten engineering colleges of India in placing the students with fat packages , admission to three are through AIEEE institutes those are BIT Mesra, NSIT , TIET . Although the booming economy of India is showering such offers to student at various Premier engineering colleges, admission to majority of these institutions are through AIEEE.

Choosing an Institute on the placement records only is unthinkable, talking about academics after the IITs, the NITs are well respected among the Science community of world.
