    All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) Points to ponder

     

  • The number of attempts which the candidate can avail at All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is limited to three uniformly for all the candidates in consecutive years.

  • One Time Exemption: candidate who have already availed three attempts or more will be permitted to appear in All India Engineering/Architecture Examination as a last chance.

  • Only Indian nationals are eligible.  ( NRI ,PIO and Foreign Nationals go through DASA)

  • In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks, inter-se merit of such candidates shall be determined as follows:

 

    B.E/B.Tech - By marks obtained in Mathematics and then in Physics in AIEEE and then by age (preference to older candidates). 

    B.Arch/B.Planning - By marks obtained in Aptitude Test and then in Mathematics in AIEEE and then by age (preference to older candidates).

 

  • This year's All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) took students by surprise with tougher physics section as compared to previous year's physics section and thirty five questions in physics, chemistry and Mathematics each, five questions less in each section than previous year's questions. Secondly both Mathematics and Physics had assertion and reasoning question.

  • Is it easier than IIT JEE

    • It's not wise to compare Entrances at this stage go ahead with your preparation and make sure you are completing the exercises thoroughly and scoring well in class tests.  Essentially both the entrances require same expertise in problem solving techniques and clear concepts.

 

  • I am taking coaching for IIT JEE Shall I Prepare separately for AIEEE

    • No you need not take any extra burden but make sure to appear at least twenty mock tests of AIEEE before the entrance.

 

  • Which books shall I purchase for AIEEE

    • Apart from your regular NCERT books you can purchase objective question banks prepared for AIEEE only, For your reference you can purchase Resnick Halliday walker/Krane for Physics or HC verma for the objective question bank you can go for books from Arihant Publication , Bharti Publication etc .

 

  • Are the books I have purchased for IIT JEE is sufficient for AIEEE

    • It depends on what books you have purchased for IIT JEE with the changing pattern of IIT JEE; it is not advisable to purchase any book that deals with topics beyond the syllabus of NCERT

 

  • Is it a must to go for coaching for AIEEE


    • Though ideally not required but now a days with most of the student being trained for the entrances, You must also or else the competition you will face wont be fare for you.

 

  • Are the books prescribed by my school teacher enough for AIEEE

    • Again it all depends what all books are prescribed to you, the traditional books like physics by Pradeep's are as good as IIT_JEE question_banks.

 

  • I want to prepare for MBBS is it advisable for me to prepare for   AIEEE as well

    No it is not advisable, You wont be able to do justice with Biology and Mathematics and with the HOTs in place the CBSE also requires deep study .

 

  • I want to go for  Bio Technology shall I prepare for AIEEE

    Yes you must prepare for AIEEE since preparation for AIEEE is not only prepare for you AIEEE but for many other entrances also and secondly many institutes providing course on Biotech also needs AIEEE score

 

  • Which is more Important class 11th or 12th for AIEEE

    Both are equally important, particularly 11th since the basics are there in 11th curriculum and secondly you wont get time before AIEEE to cover 11th so be very careful

 

  • Which coaching institutes are best for AIEEE

    • Any coaching institute which is nearby your place and has proved it's credibility in terms of number of successful candidates previous year are advisable Coaching institutes Career point , Narayana etc have special divisions for AIEEE.

 

  • Are these online testing helpful for AIEEE

    • Yes, they are firstly you will get a report how your preparation is going secondly you can appear the tests made by the specialists at the ease of your home .

 

  • I have scored good marks in class 10th but I am finding the Numerical very difficult what shall I do ?

    • Don't mind at all, most of the student face this and later they go on to top the entrance , Keep trying and solve as many solved examples as you can , ask till you understand don't hesitate to ask .

 

  • I can solve the problems but I am not scoring well in class mock tests, what I shall do.

    • This has to be checked as soon as possible since both IIT JEE and AIEEE requires speed and accuracy, so try appearing the mock tests within strict time frame.

 

  • How much study hours need I put for a good AIEEE rank

    • It all depends on how much time you need to understand, make sure that you are solving all the problems at home from Physics, Chemistry and mathematics from the chapters taught in class/coaching.
