COMEDK Eligibility Criteria

Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) Eligibility Criteria:



For Applicants of B.E Courses:

If you are applying for the as the general category student for B.E course, then the minimum qualification for COMEDK admission is a pass in the 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent qualifying Examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. You need to have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and along with it, if you have Biotechnology or Computer Science or Biology or Electronics as optional subjects in place of Chemistry, then also you are eligible. English should be one of the languages of study.


In case of SC, ST and Karnataka OBC students the aggregate marks in PCM should not be less than 45% in the qualifying examination . Even if you are able to secure required marks in PCM subjects, then also you shall be disqualified, if you are unable to secure required percentage of marks in English, in the Competitive Entrance Test.

For Applicants of B. Arch Courses:

A candidate who has passed the qualifying examination (2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination) with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government and having obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in case of SC/ST and Karnataka OBC Category candidates). Further the candidate should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture.


As an applicant you must know it clearly that competitive entrance test comedk do not conduct any competitive test separately for candidates seeking admission to B.Arch (Architecture Course).

 

For Applicants of MBBS / BDS Courses:

If you are an applicant for the MBBS/BDS courses then you should have passed the qualifying examination, 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or any other equivalent examination of its standard. During these two years of study, you must have the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. You are also required to pass these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB. In addition, in the competitive entrance test, must have secured not less than 50% marks in PCB.


If you belong to the SC, ST and Karnataka OBC then for you the marks obtained in PCB taken together in qualifying examination should not be less than 40% and if you score less than 40% in the COMEDK then you will not be considered to take admission in the MBBS course.


In case of the BDS examination, you need minimum of 50% marks both in qualifying examination (PCB) and Competitive Entrance Test COMEDK. Here must be English as one of the language of study and you also have to pass in English in the qualifying examination.

 

Eligibility Criteria  COMEDK PGET & Admission Procedure:


Candidates shall submit their original documents compulsorily for allotment of seats.

1.) The candidate shall attend the counseling in person for selection of seats. NO REPRESENTATIVE WILL BE ALLOWED.
2.) Only candidates who have not taken the seats during the earlier round of PG Medical counseling are ELIGIBLE to attend this counseling.
3.) The candidates who are already admitted and the candidate who have surrendered their seats after selection / admission are not eligible for the counseling.
