Kerala Engineering, Architecture & Medical (KEAM) Points to Ponder:

 

Candidates accomplishing the eligibility conditions as mentioned in the Prospectus and who seek admission to all the above mentioned courses in Government seats have to apply in the prescribed application form issued by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. There is separate Entrance Examinations for admission to Engineering and Medical Courses conducted by the CEE and the allotment will be based on the rank in these Entrance Examinations. The CEE will not conduct any Entrance Examination for admission to B.Arch. course. However, candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. course should compulsorily appear and qualify the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA).


Candidates who are not from Kerala or fulfilling the domicile requirements can only take admission to engineering courses in Management quota seats in self financing institutions sponsored by government and in the government seats in self financing colleges of KEAM.

In the case of a tie in the total marks in the Entrance examination, candidates with higher marks in Mathematics in KEAM Entrance Examination is placed higher in the ranking. If the tie still exists, a candidate with higher marks in Physics of the Physics & Chemistry Paper is placed higher in the ranking. If there is still a tie, the age of the candidate is taken into account and the older is  placed higher in the ranking than the younger.

There is no provision for revaluation or rechecking of answer sheets. No correspondence in this regard is entertained.

The availability of Government seats in Self-financing Colleges run by institutions under Govt. control and other Private Self-financing colleges is notified separately.

Candidates desirous of obtaining admission to the Agricultural courses, except B. Tech. (Ag. Engg), BSc.(D.Sc & Tech), will have to write Paper I-Chemistry & Physics and Paper II-Biology of Medical Entrance Examination. For being considered for B. Tech. (Ag. Engg.) and B. Tech. (D.Sc & Tech.) they have to appear for Paper I-Physics & Chemistry and Paper II-Mathematics of Engineering Entrance Examination.

Candidates who wish to be considered ONLY for Engineering courses [including B.Tech (Ag. Engg.) and B. Tech (D.Sc & Tech.) under the Kerala Agricultural University], will have to write Paper I-Physics & Chemistry and Paper-II Mathematics of the Engineering Entrance Examination.


Candidates included in the Engineering rank list will not be considered for admission to B. Arch. course based on their Engineering rank.
