Sastra University Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates seeking admission into SASTRA University exam are required to pass their 10+2 examination from a recognized university/ board with aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics & Physics as compulsory subjects and either Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology as an optional subject. This eligibility criterion is prescribed by AICTE and is applicable to all engineering programs in India. And, students who have already done diploma in engineering /technology are eligible t take direct admission into the second year of the relevant B.Tech. Program, applicant to the course must not be more than 19 years.

Admission eligibility in undergraduate as well as in postgraduate courses (M.Tech.,M.C.A. & M.B.A.) will be diffetent for each.

Eligibility for Admission into B.Tech/Integrated M.Tech in SASTRA University:

A minimum 60% should be in +2/10+2.
Applicant should pass in the +2 examination with Mathematics & Physics as compulsory subjects with either Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Biology.
The Applicant should be passed 10+2 exam from any recognized institution which is certified by the State Govt/ Central Govt/ SASTRA.
Eligibility to vocational courses will be made according to their theory courses taken.
Diploma in Engineering / Technology passed out students are eligible for taking direct admission into the second year of degree courses.

Eligibility for Admission into M.Tech in SASTRA University:

Applicant should be passed the B.tech/ Integrated M.tech from any recognized institution which is certified by the State Govt/ Central Govt/ SASTRA University.

For taking admission into Advanced Communication Systems the candidate should passed B.E. / B.Tech. Degree in ECE / EEE / EIE exam.
For taking admission into Advanced Computing the applicant should passed B.E. / B.Tech. Degree in CSE / ECE / IT / ITM.
For taking admission into Advanced Manufacturing the applicant should passed B.E. / B.Tech. Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering / Mechatronics.
For taking admission into Bioinformatics the applicant should passed B.E. / B.Tech. (CSE / IT / Chemical), MCA, M.Sc.,(CS / IT / Bioinformatics),B.Pharm or MBBS.
For taking admission into Biomedical Signal Processing & Instrumentation the applicant should passed B.E. / B.Tech. Degree in ECE / EEE / EIE / I&C /Mechatronics.
For taking admission into Chemical Engineering the applicant should passed B.E. / B.Tech. Degree in Chemical Engg. & Mechanical Engg.
For taking admission into M.Pharm in Pharmacology / Pharmaceutics / Pharmacoinformatics the applicant should passed B.Pharm.
For taking admission into M.S. (By Research) Embedded Systems the applicant should passed B.E. / B.Tech. Degree in CSE / ECE / EEE / EIE /I&C / IT.

Eligibility for Admission into M.B.A. in SASTRA University:

The applicant should passed Graduation in any stream from any recognized institution which is certified by the State Govt/ Central Govt/ SASTRA University.

Eligibility for Admission into M.C.A. in SASTRA University:

Any B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Science, or B.C.A Graduate with 65% marks in graduation level.
The applicant should passed +2 exam with mathematics as a subject.
