From what i understand, i think your father is a logical and supportive person. consider yourself lucky on that. i think his suggestion is perfect. look its very important for parents to feel that the son/daughter is securely hooked somewhere. right now you have options, though not very bright.. but they r options none the less. you cant count out somethiing going wrong next time. i know fo cases when people did pretty well in preparation but fell ill before exams. things happen. so it makes sense to go by his strategy.
as for not meeting people... dude u tried. u worked hard for getting somewhere. be proud of yourself. i think your parentsshould be prund of you too for being so sincere about your career and thinking so much about it. i have met parents who crave for their childrent o think once about their careers and the kdi doesn give a damn.
so cheer up.. its just a start to a preparation not the end...
