hello the equation can be simplified in this way:: (x-1)2=1-y u can draw this parabola easily.It will face downwards and vertex is (1,1). As AC=AB so the cartesian coordinates of B and C can be taken (1+t , -t2+1) and (1-t ,-t2 +1) area of triangle=1/2(-t2+1)(2t) differentiating it will give u max at t=-1/sqrt(3) the points are B and C are ( sqrt(3)-1/sqrt(3) , 2/3) and (sqrt(3)+1/sqrt(3),2/3) by using dis. formula u can find AC ,BC and CD easily. So i m leaving this work for u. |
