hello

the equation can be simplified in this way::

(x-1)²=1-y

u can draw this parabola easily.It will face downwards and vertex is (1,1).

As AC=AB

so the cartesian coordinates of B and C can be taken (1+t , -t²+1) and (1-t ,-t²+1)

area of triangle=1/2(-t²+1)(2t)

differentiating it will give u max at t=-1/sqrt(3)

the points are B and C are ( sqrt(3)-1/sqrt(3) , 2/3) and (sqrt(3)+1/sqrt(3),2/3)

by using dis. formula u can find AC ,BC and CD easily. So i m leaving this work for u.

The time u guys take to find the derivative of a function or for finding the equilibrium constant of a reaction or for finding the angle of dispersion of prism or for standing from ur seat to congratulate our team after their win almost in that time one kid die because of poverty.
