correct answer is 85N.

its quite simple!!

consider the entire rope

total downward force= mg+70-100=20N

now get the downward accn = 20/5=4

now considering the lower half of string

total downward force=m/2g+70-T=2.5g+70-T (T acts upwards)

accn in downward direction is4

hence2.5g+70-T=2.5*4

T=85N.
