Look, u have already joined a coaching instt. Infact, a very renowned instt. The first thing u should do is not to brood over ur decision. If u constantly ask others and think whether u have done right or wrong, that may cause indecision in ur mind as a result of which u won't be unable to do justice to the time and money u shall be spending.
Many people like me who r in the distant corner of the country , do not get the facility to join a good instt. So. for us we have no alternative but self study.
U have joined. Better stick to ur decision and remember many people get chance in IIT from these instts. Otherwise these instts would not be running at all.
