L hospital's rule is used to find the limits [when the limit is one of the 7 indeterminate forms....] we differentiate the numerator and the denomenator and then find the limit of the resultant...if it is again an indeterminate form..we can again diff. both numerator and denomenator....[till a DETERMINATE FORM IS OBTAINED--so l hospital can be dangerous at times]
