As in series connection of resistance the path of electron is same and there is no distribution at junction thus total no. of electrons crossing a point at any point remains same that decides the current in the circuit.
But in parallel the no. of electrons divide themselves in sucha manner that continuity of chare and kirchoff's first law holds good. That is charge at the junction is conserved or incoming charge is equal to charge crossing the junction.
