dont need to bother about this.. as far as i know the work conditions are not bad in chemical..
u dont need to work in the factory, chem engineers have many scopes.
civil is related to field work mostly but there is planning and designing as well.
biotech is an emerging branch.. research oriented fields are there..
choose among these according to ur liking... dont worry about working conditions..
