Prof. S Shyam Sunder is well known for teaching physics par excellence and scintillating seminars. Several hundreds of students have got into the IITs and engineering colleges under his tutelage.

After completing his B.tech from IIT Delhi, he took up the task of training students in Physics for the IITJEE in 1993.

He has held the posts of HOD (Physics) in Fiitjee, Director (Academics) with Pie education, and HOD (Physics) with SriChaitanya in Kota. Currently works as a consultant and visiting faculty with many of the institutes across India. He was the first person in India to publish the solutions of IIT PHYSICS paper on the very next day in a national daily way back in 1995. He has authored many of the study materials and test papers in Physics popular throughout India today. His articles have been quite popular in the magazine �Physics for you�. Currently he is authoring books for IITJEE and AIEEE. He has conducted training programs for faculty, seminars for IITJEE and workshops on lateral thinking, creativity, brain power, mind mapping and memory techniques for students across India.

Unofficially believes education is much more than formal degree, he has dabbled in karate, yoga and meditation. He has: trained as a glider pilot, participated in white water rafting and bungee jumping, Served as a disciple in an ashram, went to learn Sanskrit from the masters in a village called Melkote, lives by the credo 'Exploration leads to wisdom', exploration of the inner and the outer world! Has been on a pan-Indian tour on a year's sabbatical.
