We Indians proudly say that IIT is better than than MIT, IIT is at par with MIT, IIT is this...it is that....but is it really so ??? Even IIT Bombay, the best IIT, is not in the top 50 engineering schools of the world... !!! In a step that could check private coaching institutes from poaching successful candidates to make false claims about their strike rate, HRD ministry has ordered a CBI inquiry into specific allegations against two IIT coaching institutes for misusing the name of one of the high scorers of IITJEE and AIEEE in 2009, for commercial gains. The JEE results are out. It has been established beyond a doubt, this year's JEE was much tougher. A score of 227/401 (Mine) got me a rank of AIR 2631 (GEN). This translates to roughly 272/480, which would have got a rank of around 4000. So much for the people who said the paper was easier!
