Review : Fibonacci Sequence
Calculating the Fibonacci Sequence Is there a formula that can be used to calculate the nth Fibonacci number? For example, if we want to know the 100th Fibonacci number, do we have to count one by one?  The answer to the first question is, "Yes, but ..."  The answer to thesecond question is, "No."  Now for the explanations!  Sorry they areso long. The standard formula for the Fibonacci numbers is due to a Frenchmathematician named Binet.  If F(n) represents the nth Fibonacci number, then:       F(n) = (a^n - b^n)/(a - b) where a and b are the two roots of the quadratic equation x^2-x-1 =   more ...

Integration of the Universe
Integration methods The following differential equation is going to be solved. (6.3) This differential equation is transformed into an algorithm-dependent finite difference equation by quantizing and replacing (6.4) by the following equation. (6.5) There are several linear single- and multi-step numerical integration methods available, each having advantages and disadvantages concerning aspects of stability and accuracy. Integration methods can also be classified into implicit and explicit methods. Explicit methods are inexpensive per step but limited in stability and therefore not used in the field of circuit simulation to obtain   more ...

NINE STEPS TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL 1. START WITH THE END IN MIND: The best way to set your goal is to visualize the end result you will achieve with your goal. Once your goal is achieved, what will you have? If your goal is to write a book, then you should end up with a professional looking book in your hand. If your goal is to make Rs 5,00,000 a year, then you will have that amount in sales at the end of the year. 2. BE SPECIFIC: Don't say 'I want to make more money in 2007.' Always make your goals specific. 'I want to make Rs 500,000 in sales from my Web site by December 31, 2007.' T   more ...

PROBLEM SOLVING STRATEGIES
ROTATIONAL DYNAMICS FOR RIGID BODIES :   Our strategy for solving problems in rotational dynamics is very similar for solving problems that involve Newton's SECOND LAW.   IDENTIFY THE RELEVANT CONCEPTS:  The equation z = Iz is useful whenever torques act on a rigid body - that is, whenever forces act on a rigid body in such a way as to change the state of the body's rotation.  In some cases you may be able to use an energy approach. However, if the target variable is a force, a torque, an acceleration, angular acceleration, or an elapsed time, the approach using z = Iz is almost always the most efficient one.   SET UP THE PROBLEM   more ...

Doing Well in Calculus ยท         Develop an effective and time-efficient homework/study strategy for, not only your calculus class, but other classes as well. This will help you become a more confident, successful, and well-rounded student. It will lead to a healthier balance between work time and leisure time. Spend at least two to four hours on each homework assignment. This affords you extra time to work on challenging homework problems and helps you organize your thoughts, questions, and ideas. The more time you spend on homework, the more likely you are to articulate clear, concise questions to your classmates and t   more ...

A few pts. on org reactions - PlZZZZZZZZZ have a look
1. Acetoacetic-Ester CondensationClaisen Condensation The Claisen Condensation between esters containing ?-hydrogens, promoted by a base such as sodium ethoxide, affords ?-ketoesters. The driving force is the formation of the stabilized anion of the ?-keto ester. If two different esters are used, an essentially statistical mixture of all four products is generally obtained, and the preparation does not have high synthetic utility. However, if one of the ester partners has enolizable ?-hydrogens and the other does not (e.g., aromatic esters or carbonates), the mixed reaction (or crossed Claisen) can be synthetically useful. If ketones or nitriles are used as the   more ...

The man who had to trek the wild wild lands bare footed in stone age , is now travelling at speeds of thousands of kilometres in supersonic planes . He could land on the moon , look far into the galaxies of stars and examine deep into the atom . His vision and understanding of this universe is expanding day by day and his life is becoming comfortable     Since the beginning , man had been living through wonders of nature-sunrise , suns   more ...

Temperal Balance Keep your cool during the paper. If you feel you are getting flustered, close your eyes for some time to regain your composure and concentration. Keep yourself in a cheerful and positive mood. If you feel tension rising during the paper, take deep breaths to release tension. Do not get demotivated or overexcited on seeing the question paper. Keep your balance. Demotivation will make even easy questions appear tough and overconfidence will make you commit silly mistakes. Do not get depressed by tough questions. Instead remind yourself that these questions are tough for every aspirant. Do not get emotionally attached to any question   more ...

X-RAY
X-RAYS   X-rays are a type of electromagnetic radiation with wavelengths of around 10-10 meters. When medical X-rays are being produced, a thin metallic sheet is placed between the emitter and the target, effectively filtering out the lower energy (soft) X-rays. This is often placed close to the window of the X-ray tube. The resultant X-ray is said to be hard. Soft X-rays overlap the range of extreme ultraviolet. The frequency of hard X-rays is higher than that of soft X-rays, and the wavelength is shorter. Hard X-rays overlap the range of "long"-wavelength (lower energy) gamma rays, however the distinction between the two terms depends on the source of the   more ...
