The changing pattern of IIT-JEE
As per Economics Times, IIT is changing its pattern of selection both through the question paper and through the way it used to select the candidates. The changes are because of the use of RTI by candidates. Two points here are worth discussing one the changes on the nature of the question and the second one is what it really meant when IIT said "one digit cut off marks".         Two or three years back students were dropping year by year for the examination this has many undesirable outcomes. First it made scientist like C N R Rao said that Indian science is on death bed. Secondly IIT did not get the kind of student it looks fo   more ...

Expert Synopsis of IIT-JEE 2007
This year's jee was all about testing of basic concept with simple questions . The real challenge was not the questions but the way they were formed. The best way to see this is the matching questions which awards the student full or nill mark only. It awards full only when all the matchings are properly matched which creats the real challenge as its a challenge to link all the possibilities.          Few questions are really esay to crack but thses questions can not be the sheer deciding factor about the level of test . All the JEEs so far tested always carried few easy questions. The two papers pattern was to ease down   more ...      [ 1, 2, 3 ]

did u know:Even thin galaxies can grow to massive black holes?? THis article has grt pics.
Even Thin Galaxies Can Grow Fat Black Holes 01.10.08   This artist's concept illustrates the two types of spiral galaxies that populate our universe: those with plump middles, or central bulges (upper left), and those lacking the bulge (foreground). Image credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech? Full image and caption NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope has detected plump black holes where least expected -- skinny galaxies. Like people, galaxies come in different shapes and sizes. There are thin spirals both with and without central bulges of stars, and more rotund ellipticals that are themselves like giant bulges. Scientists have long held that all galaxies e   more ...      [ 1 ]

Just check this out.   Many of u have just entered 11th.for u first thing I can say is get some knowledge about what is IIT JEE. By previous sentence i don't mean know the name of IIT JEE from somewhere. You should have a full detail about what IIT ask in its exam and what it does not ask. Many students prepare misguided without knowing about JEE and AIEEE. I'll not give much lecture about IIT or AIEEE. will i qualify in iit
Yes, you are! The IITian is there in you. Some of his abilities are already expressed in you. You will bring other qualities to the front through practice. As a matter of fact, any above average student who is dedicated and sincere can clear the JEE. It's not uncrackable. There is no shortage of time in the examination. Only the approach has to be correct. Few tips are discussed in the following paragraphs. First of all, ask yourself if you are sufficiently inspired. No half-hearted attempts, please. Your desire, commitment, internal conviction and belief in your ability to succeed are the most important requirements. Also, observe your reading and lea   more ...

study time table for IIT -JEE
First of all, you need to know what material and at what level you need to have information on each subject. There must be some guidelines for the exam. Before you start, plan out the material to study. Perhaps even skim through each book to get an idea of what is there. Often books will have summaries at the end of each chapter. It is good to read those first, if possible. The best way to study the three subjects is to spend about 55 minutes on one subject, and then take a 5-minute break where you get up, walk around and stretch, to get your blood flowing. Then switch to the next subject. Doing that will allow you to be alert in each subject.I am sorry, but I can't r   more ...
