More than half the students that you generally meet have really not begun their IIT JEE preparations in full swing. Most of them are half stuck in either Rotational or in Gravitation. In Mathematics, they are really not well prepared. Either they have just finished most of AP, GP and HP or have just done some differentiation. In Chemistry things are generally better but then still not up to the mark. If you happen to be one of these then this is very important for you. The first and foremost thing is to start realizing that Mechanics alone will take you no where! You have to start working on Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Modern Physics, Optics, Hea   ...      [ 1, 2, 3 ]

Engineering as a career option is finalized at a stage when the kids are not mature enough to decide. Usually, their career choice is based on the preference of their parents, and obviously those giving the advice are not engineers themselves, nor do they have the entire experience of engineering as a profession. It is quite obvious that while opting for a profession, children themselves are not aware of what engineering as a career is all about. In the field of engineering, vision and skills know no boundaries. Students have to accept challenges as opportunities to prove themselves. For instance, being an aerospace engineer, you might get a chance of working on cryo   ...

Your First Year in College: 25 Tips to Help you Survive and Thrive your Freshman Year and Beyond by Randall S Hansen, Ph D  Perhaps you were class president in high school. Or perhaps you were a member of the honor society. You could have graduated in the top percentile of your graduating class; perhaps you were even valedictorian. Maybe your were in the honors program or the International Baccalaureate program. Actually, it doesn't really matter what you did in high school as you make the transition to college. High school success (or lack of it) doesn't automatically apply to college. You start college with a clean academic slate, along   ...

So here I will be clearing some misconceptions that students generally make while studying Chemical Kinetics. But it is not totally their fault as they are taught that way.FIRST MISCONCEPTION----------------------------------------OK.......So tell me how do you define rate in chemical kinetics.....????Students normally answer rate of a reaction as rate of change of CONCENTRATION with respect to TIME.... That is........... Rate = d(C)/dtNow this definition in one's mind actually has no basic meaning and also this is TOTALLY WRONG conception. First let me tell you why it has no meaning and then i will tell why it is wrong. While mentioning the rate one must mention wha   ...

very often the calculation of a range of a function turns out to be difficult. here is an easy way. first of all find the critical points of the function and calculate the values of the function at the critcal points and the ends of the domain. then the range is the minimum to maximum of all the values. let f(x) be a function in the extremes of domain a,b there are four options.let the critical points be x1 and x2 in between x1 and x2 [a,b]-in this case calculate the values of f(x1),f(x2),f(a) and f(b) and then proceed (a,b)-in this case calculte the values of f(x1),f(x2),lim( x tends to a+)f(x) and lim(x tends to b-)f(x) [a,b)in this case find the values of f(x1),f   ...

I think I can?t get a better question to start of things with. A lot of people have described it in their own way but in my view which I think everyone will support is that success is that state of mind in which your feeling can?t be expressed in words but can only be felt and can make others feel jealous of you, you may be thinking jealous??
