Super Tricks to solve Quadratic Equations
1. To solve equation of the form (x - a)^4 + (x-b)^4= A [or in general (x - a)^2n + (x-b)^2n ]put y = x - (a+b)/2 and simplify. 2. To solve equation of the form Af(x)^2n + Bf(x)^n + C = 0 put f(x)^n = y and solve Ay^2 + By + C = 0 3. An equation of the form f(x) x g(x) X h(x) X .... [f,g and h are quadratic expressions with different constant terms but same coefficients of x and x^2 ie: ax^2 + bx ] can be solved by putting ax^2 + bx = y 4. An equation of the form (x-a)(x-b)(x-c)(x-d) = Ax^2 where 'ab = cd' can be reduced to a product of two polynomials by putting y = x + ab/x 5. An equation of the form (x-a)(x-b)(x-c)(x-d) = A where 'a < b < c   more ...

Superb Mathematics Shortcuts
Hi Guys , I am posting some great and useful tips and tricks with which you can save precious time in exams by minimizing written calculations . These tricks are based on vedic Mathematics . I hope you find them useful . Trick 1 : Multiply any two numbers from 11 to 20 in your head. Take 15 x 13 for example..Place the larger no. first in your mind and then do something like this Take the larger no on the top and the second digit of the smaller no. in the bottom. 15 3 The rest is quite simple. Add 15+3 = 18 . Then multiply 18 x 10 = 180 ... Now multiply the second digit of both the no.s (ie; 5 x 3 = 15) Now add 180 + 15 Here is the answer 180 + 15 = 195 . Thin   more ...

math
People use numbers every day to benefit themselves. Statistics can be misinterpreted simply because of the way the information is given. In the following questions, you will see how some of the number tricks work and learn to explain them by using algebra. Here is an example of a trick: Choose a Number Add 5 Double the result Subtract 4 Divide the result by 2 Subtract the number you started with The result is 3 Pick 4 different starting numbers and prove that the result will always be 3. Call these solutions Part A. As we progress through our mathematical career we learn to use algebra more and do not accept a proof simply because it wo   more ...
