A goIIT nudgebook is a normal scrap book that you can use to message your friends in the community. The reason why it came into existence was the dire need of one-on-one brain wracking required between students. What is goIIT Community Shelf?
Community Shelf is a place where you will be able to upload your own contributions to the goIIT material. Contribution can be anything from a simple funda that you cracked last night, to a solution for a problem (which you think is good in some way), to an article you read somewhere and would like to share with everyone, or one of your own articles on subject of your choice.
For every contribution you make to the shelf, the moderation community will review the material and award you nickels for the same! The number of nickels awarded would depend on the clarity and the quality of the contribution. The more graphical (if reqd.), explainatory and useful the contribution is, the more the nickels & user ratings you can win.
On What basis are nickels awarded on Community Shelf?
Nickels are awarded on the article across the range of 0 to 50 (or more!!) based on the following parameters listed in order of decreasing priority (most important first):
I. usefulness/relevance (how useful the article is to the community)
II. originality (is it original or taken from somewhere)
III. clarity of article
IV. tagging with right keywords (reusing existing keywords)
V. presentation (whether diagrams have been drawn to explain etc)
Important thing to note here is that an academic article is given more preference and the nickels awarded range from 5 to 50+. For non-academic articles, nickels awarded are usually in the range of 1 to 5.
